Junior Competitive Programming
League Info
-
Our Junior Competitive program (Under-21) prepares youth for competition at the Junior level. Focus will be on the spirit of curling along with the fundamentals of balance, alignment, delivery, and strategy. Full sheets are used, along with full sized rocks. All have degree of skill instruction, special focus drills, curling games, and fun activities. Aside from individual skills, curling is a very social sport, and helps build fundamental lifelong teamwork skills. The program supports young curlers by organizing teams and participating as team coaches at the events. As curlers’ skills progress and they become more competitive juniors, the curlers, with their parents, take on forming their own competitive teams including finding the right coach for their team.
